The Saint Louis Science Center invites St. Louis visitors and residents to take part in the Amazing Challenge, a unique competitive experience that utilizes mental and physical challenges to create the ultimate team-building exercise. The Amazing Challenge is a cross between an "amazing race" and a community-wide scavenger hunt, celebrating St. Louis' historic landmarks and the region's livability assets.
Two-person teams race around St. Louis, travelling on Metro and other modes of transportation on a quest to answer clues and finish physical activities quickly. ClueMasters wait at designated locations along the Challenge path to document correct answers and the completion of tasks. Racers will not need to use their own cars, bikes, or bring any other forms of transportation.
Much like familiar reality TV races, teams are required to collect clues and follow specific rules regarding fairness and safety. Participants may only use the materials and information provided to complete tasks and to travel between locations. Cell phones are not allowed and tasks must be completed by the team members only, although teams may ask for friendly advice from people they encounter along the way.
